Finale of this unique version of Porgy and Bess. It has a recapitulation of some great melodies that are in this opera and then the grand finale is introduced : Summertime, sung by Ellen Klopstra.
To achieve different textures, Jan Schoemaker changes to flute for Summertime and Bert is on clarinet.

Summertime is the greatest hit from the opera Porgy and Bess. It is probably the most recorded song of the 20th century, and since recording has been invented not much earlier likely the most recorded song of all times.

In this arrangement there are a lot of doubling activities in the saxes :
Jan Schoemaker plays : soprano, alto & tenor saxes plus clarinet and flute.
Eduard Heyning : tenor sax and clarinet
Wietze de Vries : baritone, alto sax and clarinet (2 notes)
Bert Brandsma : curved and straight soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass saxophones, clarinet and also responsible for the arrangement.
Irina Osetskaya (Born in St. Petersburg, Russia) plays the piano.
